Brian Clint Walker

Brian Clint Walker, 26 of Morganton, NC died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, NC. Born October 21, 1985 in Burke County, NC, he was the son of Timothy and Betty Roper Walker of Morganton with whom he made his home. Brian loved to fish and take road trips into the mountains. Because of his strong desire to help others, he was an organ donor with Carolina Donor Services. He was a member of the First Apostolic Church on Drexel Road. Brian was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and a number of aunts and uncles.In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister, Timberly Nye and husband, Chris of Morganton; his fiancée, Kristin Anthony and her family of Morganton; a number of aunts and uncles; a close friend, Janet Benton of Morganton; and his faithful canine companion, Maggie.A service of remembrance will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at First Apostolic Church with the Reverends Daniel Baker and Earl Cross officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour before the service. At other times the family will be at the home of Brian’s parents on East Union St. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to First Apostolic Church, 325 Drexel Rd., Morganton, NC 28655, to Brookwood Baptist Church, 210 Brookwood Church Rd., Morganton, NC 28655 or to a charity of choice. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family.
