Brian W. Crosbie

Brian W. Crosbie, 54, of Morganton, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012, after a heroic battle with cancer. Brian was born September 23, 1958 in Erie County, NY to the late Stanley Crosbie and Annette Sondel Crosbie. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of North Morganton United Methodist Church. Brian lived his life for God and others.Brian is survived by his wife, Marin Elizabeth Ball Crosbie of the home; brothers, Wayne Crosbie and wife, Paula of California and Mike S. Crosbie and wife, Betty of Louisiana, and a number of nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at North Morganton United Methodist Church with the Reverends Neill Shaw and April Abernethy officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium following the service. Military honors will be provided by the North Carolina National Guard. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family.
