Byron Gilberto Sapon-Barreno

Byron Gilberto Sapon-Barreno, 43, of Morganton, NC passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018.  Born September 7, 1975, he was the son of Nicolas Sapon Tzul and Maria Josefa Barreno Tohom.

Byron was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.  He was a loving husband and father.  For twelve years, he worked at Molded Fiberglass of Morganton.  Byron most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Antoña Sapon.

In addition to his parents, Byron is survived by his wife, Juana Tecla Tzul-Bulux; daughters, Vanancia and Jennifer Sapon; brother-in-law, Marcos Tzul and wife, Jennifer; sister-in-law, Maria Tzul and husband, Agustin Hernandez; niece, Paola Pacheco; and nephew, Manuel Hernandez.

The receiving of friends will be held at 4 until 5 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2018, in Murry Hall at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Funeral Mass will follow at 5 p.m. in the church with Father Kenneth Whittington officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
