C. B. Pritchard

C. B. Pritchard, 46, of North Amity Street, Morganton, NC died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at his residence. Born on October 30, 1962 in Burke County, NC, he was the son of the late Bobby Basil Pritchard and Evangiline Alberta Walker Pritchard. C.B. attended Celebration Family Worship Center. He loved spending time on Lake James and dirt track racing. Having never met a stranger, he loved people and was always helping others. He owned C.B.’s Paint and Body Shop.C.B. is survived by his wife, Debbie Benfield Pritchard of the home; sons, Chris Pritchard and wife, Crystal, and Michael Pritchard of Morganton; step-children, Candace, Victoria, and Jonathan Simental; a grandson, Logan Pritchard; step-grandchildren, Xavier, Jazlynn, Adrien, Jaleyha, Jose, Izrael, Clowie, and Lilly; a sister, Luann Owings and husband, Dennis, of Forest City, NC; nieces, Amy Crowder of Forest City and Ashley Pritchard of Morganton; two great-nephews, Austin Crowder of Forest City and Gabriel Pritchard of Morganton; and special friends, Billy and Anita Rector, Mike and Rhonda Pearson, Lee and Felicia Austin, Brian Hawkins, and Kirsten and Richie Vasser.In addition to his parents, C.B. was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Pritchard.The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home. A private service will be held at a later date with Pastor Rocky McLendon officiating.
