Caitlyn Alexis Truax, 18, of Morganton passed away Monday, June 3, 2019. She was born in Forsyth County, NC on November 26, 2000. Caitlyn was a loving, kind soul but was a bit misunderstood.
She is survived by her father, Bryan Truax (Becky); mother, Heather Truax; brother, Bryan Truax, Jr.; sister, Ashley Truax (Gordon Spencer); niece, Ember Spencer; nephew, Brian Spencer; grandparents, Bob and Barbara Truax and Tom and Terri Owens; step-sisters, Kayla and Brittany Carreker and Bryanna Pace; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Caitlyn was preceded in death by a grandmother, Susan Owens.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2019 at Faith Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. in the church with Revs. Rocky Reese and Marty Bess officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
