Committal
Callie Morris Carswell, 29, of Morganton, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
Born in Burke County, NC on April 6, 1995, she was the daughter of Grayson Henry Morris (Reba) and Hazel Charlene Hall Smith (Travis).
Callie had attended Grace Baptist Church and worked various jobs in Burke County. She enjoyed music and dancing. She was a very outgoing person and will be dearly missed by her family.
In addition to her parents, Callie is survived by her husband, Tyler Carswell; son, Thomas Carswell; sister, Jenny Kifer (Bobby); brother, Kevin Smith; nieces, Jada and Xena Kifer; and paternal grandmother, Joyce Maney.
Callie was preceded in death by a niece, Taya Kifer.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Zion Road Baptist Church. A celebration of Callie’s life will follow at 11 a.m. in the church with Rev. Micah Piercy officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
