Carl H. Traylor

Carl H. Traylor, Jr., 66, of Drexel, NC died Saturday, October 20, 2012. Born in Burke County, NC on January 25, 1946, he was the son of the late Carl Horace Traylor and Maymie Elizabeth Faulkner Traylor. Carl was a member of First United Methodist Church. Carl was a graduate of Drexel High School, a past employee of the Doblin Corporation, and retired from Baxter Corporation. He was an avid golfer and a member of Mimosa Hills Country Club.Carl is survived by his daughters, Carol Ray and her husband, Alan, of Owensboro, KY and Christy Traylor of Valdese, NC; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his former wife, Beth Fletcher; brothers, Leon Traylor and his wife, Marie, of GA and Jim Wishert and his wife, Judy, of Morganton; and a sister-in-law, Judy Gerard of Charlotte, NC.In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Traylor.The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 28, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Rev.
