Carl Justice DeLoach, 85, of Morganton, NC went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Born on December 23, 1937, he was the son of the late R.L. DeLoach and Bertie Carter DeLoach. Carl was a member of Riverside Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school. He worked for Doug Wright Realty then Century 21 in Hickory, NC. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Vietnam War and retiring after twenty-one and a half years of service. He loved all animals, especially his dogs.
Carl is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Smith DeLoach; daughter, Angela DeLoach Wilkinson (Dustin); grandchildren, Abagail Clark and Landon Wilkinson; four nieces, Gail, Cindy, Susan and Terry.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita DeLoach; brother, Gerald DeLoach.
The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Riverside Baptist Church. A memorial service will begin at 3pm in the church with Rev. Steven Boyles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the NC National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
