Carl Marion Lovelace, 75, of Morganton died Saturday, January 2, 2021. Born in Audrain County, MO on March 12, 1945, he was the son of the late Carl Wesley Lovelace and Katie Jane Williams Lovelace. Carl was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from Dana Corporation in 2008.
Carl is survived by his wife of 52 years, Virginia "Ginny" Lovelace; sons, Craig and Corey Lovelace; and sister, Mary Lou Woodward.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by an infant son, Chad Michael Lovelace.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. in Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. John Hagmann officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
