Sherri, I am praying for pease and comfort for you. Carol was so loved by her church family. I personally am really going to miss her. In the short time that I got to know her, she became a dear friend. I just thank God for the assurance that I will see her again one day. We had Carol make a quilt for our grandson, Mason and he loves it so much. He sleeps with it every night. Sandy Hallyburton

I worked with Carol at BASF. She was also my neighbor. I thought the world of her and used her as a reference in my subsequent search for employment.

Carol, I will never forget the friendship we had. You made me the most beautiful quilt that I will always cherish. You took me to Asheville for a follow-up after my foot surgery several years ago. We had just talked on the phone two weeks ago and it was such a sweet conversation. I know you are happy and fully whole now in heaven, but I will miss you. My hope is knowing we will see you and all our loved ones again one day, which I truly believe will be very soon. Our sincere condolences to your daughter, Sherri and your extended family. I can’t remember the year Leslie and I asked Carol if she would like to go with us to a conference at the outer banks. We had a trailer there and rented a trailer next to ours for Carol. At that time we were involved with the exodus of the Jews (getting them to Israel ) ,we had a wonderful time together and she supported the Jewish mission.I have the most beautiful Menorah quilt hanging on the wall(which she made for us).She was a quiet servant of God but “actions speak louder than words.” Barbara Cartwright
