Carol Ann Ray

Carol Ann Ray, 54, one of God‘s special children and loved by everyone, went to her Heavenly Home on April 13, 2011. Waiting to welcome her were her Jesus, devoted father Robert Ray and special Granny Ruth Ray.Left to cherish her memory are her caregivers and aunts, Wilma Smith, Nola Pritchard, and Thelma Brite; uncle, Larry Ray; mother Marie Setzer Ray, sister Joyce and her family; lots of extended family and specially her devoted family at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center .A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Covenant Center at JIRDC with Chaplain Johnny Phillips and Rev. Burl Sain officiating. Inurnment will follow at 4pm at the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. At other time the family will be at the home of her aunt, Wilma Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to the JIRDC-Evergreen Home, 300 Enola Road, Morganton, NC 28655. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
