I am so sorry to hear this. My grands and nieces that I used to keep love to go by “Santa” house since we live around the corner from him and his wife on Park Street. I remember when coming home one day he was standing in his drive and I had 3 of them in my car and we stopped to talk to him and they were so excited and happy to have him talk to them. I felt he was happy to talk to them after seeing their excitement. “Santa” as we call him, will truly be missed. RIP. Our condolences and prayers to his wife and family.

He was a school mate of mine at Salem, a quiet, gentle guy with a ready smile and kind demeanor. I only saw him once after graduation at the fairgrounds and had a friendly chat. So sorry to hear of his passing. - Kathy Barger Crowe

I am sorry to hear of Carroll's passing. He was a school mate at Salem High School and we were in the Army at Fort Gordon Signal School. I worked in Signal School processing and I processed Carroll in at Fort Gordon. I will be praying for the family that all of you will be comforted.
