Carol Hembree

Carol Hembree, 38, of Hickory, NC died unexpectedly on Friday, May 3, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Burke County, NC on October 18, 1974. She had worked at several area nursing homes and Burke Hospice and Palliative Care.Carol is survived by her daughter, Heidi Hembree and Gary Harris; grandchildren, Payton Harris and Maeligh Harris; her mother, Pamela Reams and her husband, Roger, of Oak Island, NC; an uncle, Brian K. DeVinney; cousins, Kenneth Tolley and Kris DeVinney; her maternal grandmother, Bernice Tallent DeVinney; and Carol’s companion, Mike Townsend.The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from noon until the visitation on Tuesday.
