Carol "Squeak" Browning Edwards

Carol “Squeak” Browning Edwards, 52, of Nebo, NC died Thursday, January 7, 2016.  Born in McDowell County, NC on December 5, 1963, she was the daughter of Carroll Lindsey “Bo” Browning and Barbara Ellen Calloway Browning of Nebo.  Squeak was a life-long member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt who was filled with love for her family.

In addition to her parents, Carol is survived by her husband, Glenn Edwards of the home; sons, Grant Edwards and his wife, April, of Morganton and Augustus “Gus” Edwards of the home; grandchildren, Hannah Woodie and Roy Edwards; a brother, Donald “Jocko” Browning and his wife, Beth, of Nebo; a sister, Paula “Corky” Banner of Nebo; nephews and nieces, Hannah Clark and her husband, Joe, of Nebo, Lindsey Browning of Morganton, Brandy Robinson and her son, Isaiah, of Drexel, NC, Matt Edwards and his wife and daughter, Anne Marie and Madison, of Evergreen, CO, Lindsay Edwards of Morganton, Erin Baker of Nebo, and Leah Baker of Nebo; parents-in-law, Roy and Vergie Edwards of Nebo; a sister-in-law, Karen Baker and her husband, Ronnie, of Nebo; and brothers-in-law, Roger Edwards and his wife, Angie, of Morganton and Steve Edwards of Nebo.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Oak Grove Baptist Church.  The funeral will be held at church at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Gyles Widener and the Rev. Mike Zullo officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
