Caroline “Carrie” Mae McIntyre

Caroline “Carrie” Mae McIntyre, 86, of Morganton NC, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018. Born on June 9, 1932 in Harford County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William Paul Hammond and Leah Farley Hammond.

Carrie was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was a volunteer at the soup kitchen, hospice, church and enjoyed helping others.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, John Vincent McIntyre Jr., Daniel Joseph McIntyre and wife, Annette, Andrew McIntyre and wife, Donna; daughters, Maricarol Frazer and husband Steve; Laurie Schorno and husband, Hector; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many extended family.

In addition to her parents, Carrie was preceded in death by two sisters Betty and Kate.

The funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Whittington officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 1721 Enon Rd, Valdese, NC 28690.
