Caroline E. Antonelli

Caroline E. Antonelli, 84, of Morganton, NC and St. Augustine, FL died Sunday, June 3, 2012. She was born in Rochester, NH on July 9, 1927. Mrs. Antonelli was the daughter of the late Frank D. Manning and Mabel Hanscom Manning. Caroline graduated from Spaulding High School and attended the University of New Hampshire. She served as Director of Medical Records at Frisbee Hospital in Rochester and Concord Hospital in Concord, NH and did medical record transcription for various hospitals throughout Florida. She loved golf, bridge, and quilting.Caroline is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles Antonelli of the home; a daughter, Elizabeth Rapp of Morganton; grandchildren, T.J. Rapp, Thomas Rapp, and Tabitha Rapp; numerous cousins; and two canine companions, Suzie and Annie.In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by two brothers, T. J. Manning and Sheldon Bulter.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Michael Bailey officiating. The family will greet friends at the church following the service.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Caroline’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
