Carolyn Ann Dale, 65, of Lenoir, NC, formerly of Morganton, died Thursday, August 6, 2015. Born November 9, 1949 in Burke County, she was a daughter of Martha Anne Dale Causby of Drexel and the late James Arthur Dale, Sr. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William Edward Dale and John Henry Dale.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her sons, Ricky A. Shuffler and Charles Brian Benfield; grandchildren, Luke and Laura; and brothers, Michael Warren Dale of Boger City, NC and James A. "Flop" Dale, Jr. and wife, Sue of Morganton.
The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2015 at Denton's Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brad Thompson officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the church.
