Carolyn Ann Davis

Mrs. Carolyn Ann Davis, 72, of Morganton died Sunday, January 10, 2021.  Born in Burke County, NC on January 16, 1948, she was the daughter of the late James Conley and Nettie Dorothy McKesson Conley.  Carolyn was a member of New Vernon Baptist Church in Bostic, NC.  She retired as dietary supervisor from North Carolina School for the Deaf with over 30 years of service.  Carolyn was well known and well thought of, and she never met a stranger.  She enjoyed traveling and loved the Lord.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Arthur Kay Davis, Sr. of the home; daughter, Lisa R. Dula (Brian); son, Arthur K. Davis, Jr., (Angela); grandchildren, LaToshia Monique Laneé Corpening, Aiesha Monet Dula, Darryl Keith Corpening, Jessica Davis, Brian Alton Dula, Jr., Hannah Davis, Kayla Davis, Dionte Christopher Corpening, and Alyssa Chante Dula; five great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Eugene Conley (Mildred); and brother-in-law, Billy G. Davis of Maryland.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Ann Caldwell.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Doug Cuthbertson officiating.  Burial will follow in New Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Bostic.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
