Carrie Beth Towery Jones

Carrie Beth Towery Jones of Morganton, NC died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Carolina House, Forest City, NC. Born January 19, 1932 in Cleveland County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Mamie Smith Towery. She was a cosmetologist for over 45 years and was owner and operator of Cut and Curl Beauty Shop. Carrie was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray "Pee Wee" Jones; a sister, Opal White; and a brother, Arlo Towery.Surviving are her son, Dan Jones and his companion, Pearl Martin of Morganton; a daughter, Gail Dula and her husband, Ronnie of Morganton; grandchildren, Eric Jones, Ben Dula and Brian Dula; great grandchildren, Cooper Jones, Peyton Dula, Megan Dula, and Franklin Dula; a step great grandson, Ryan Adcox; sisters, Madge Downs of Bostic, NC and Mary Deck of Tryon, SC.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Salem United Methodist Church with the Reverends Mark Conforti and Marty Bess officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour before the service.
