Catherine Clark, 69, of Morganton, NC, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. She was born in Burke County on February 22, 1946 to the late Lemmie Hudson and Velvie Chapman Hudson. She was employed by John Lewis Hosiery Mill for more than thirty years. She was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church. She loved her animals. A loving mother and “Ma,” she will be dearly missed by her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lee Clark; brothers, Vernon, James and Bill Hudson; sister, Jean Wellman.
She is survived by her son, Dean Clark of the home; grandchildren, Dakota Clark, Mariah Clark-Minor and her husband, Tim; six grandchildren; brother, Wayne Hudson of Morganton; sister, Edna Mae Tilley of Morganton, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Silver Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Silver Creek Baptist Church, 4504 Silver Creek Church Rd, Morganton, NC 28655.
