Cecil Turbeville, 85, of Morganton, NC, died Monday, September 2, 2024.
Born in Columbus County, NC on December 19, 1938, he was the son of the late Lee Barry Turbeville and Ethel Dora Bown Turbeville. Cecil was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved the Lord and was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Turbeville worked at Lake Wylie Marina, River Construction in Lake Wylie, and with his best friend, Marty Allman, and Allman’s Auto and Marine Upholstery. He loved water skiing, snow skiing, and restoring old automobiles.
Cecil is survived by his wife, Phyllis Phillips Turbeville; brothers, Harry Turbeville (Vicki), Lester Turbeville (Gwyn), and Horace Turbeville (Martha); sisters, Carolyn Butler and Linda McSwain; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
