Chance Donnell Francis Clemmons

Chance Donnell Francis Clemmons, 35, of Morganton, NC, was called home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 4, 2017. Born on September 3, 1981, he was the son of Clarence Francis and Nancy Burris, both of Morganton. Chance was a loving son, brother, uncle, fiancé and friend.

In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory, his fiancée, Elonda Perkins of the home; step-mother, Linda Tilson of Morganton; his sister, Taunia Francis Jones, nephew, Maurtice Francis and niece, Tatiana Francis; his sister, Keesha (Marvin) Carson, nephews, Keevon Patterson and Kyreick Patterson and niece, Nahla Carson, of Germany; and nephews, Damien and Tavion Dula.

Chance was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Katie Francis, and Bob and Kathryn Wolfe. He is also survived by aunts, Ola (Robert) Caldwell, Marty (Mike) Mull, Mary Francis, Virginia Francis; uncles, Leon Francis, Charles Francis all of Morganton; and a host of cousins and friends.

The Francis family extends their special thanks to the medical staff of Fresenius Kidney Care of Morganton for their care and concern and Denise Scarboro for her devoted care.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The funeral will follow at 2 pm in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home. Pastor Tommy G. Carpenter will officiate.  Burial will follow at Park Hill Memorial Gardens.
