Charles Allan "Dootsie" Orders

Charles Allan “Dootsie” Orders, 59, of Glen Alpine, NC died Monday, May 30, 2016. Born in Burke County, NC on July 19, 1956, he was the son of the late James Harry Orders and Betty Jo Houck Orders. Charles attended Glen Alpine High School. He was a self-employed mechanic and could diagnose an engine just by hearing it run. Mr. Orders was an honest and humble man. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle.
Charles is survived by his brother, Lee Orders and wife, Myra, of Newton, NC; nieces, Amanda Orders of Mars Hill, NC and Ashley Orders of Greenville, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2016 at Glen Alpine Cemetery with the Rev. David Orders officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
