Charles Amon Stanley

Charles Amon Stanley, 72, of Morganton died Sunday, May 19, 2019.  Born in Maine on January 14, 1947, he was the son of the late Otho Otis Stanley and Lillian Cordelia Cox Stanley.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed tending bees and sight-seeing by automobile.  He loved his family and the Lord.

Charles is survived by his wife, Franciene Thompson Stanley of the home; sons, Charles Stanley, Earl Stanley, Benjamin Stanley (Chrissy), and Joseph Stanley, Sr. (Katy); grandchildren, Katie Stanley, Julia Stanley, Autumn Sibley, Brandon Sibley, Lexis Stanley, Joseph Stanley, Jr., and Lillian Stanley; brothers, Dwayne and Otho Stanley; sisters, Priscilla Farrington and Charlene Bunker; and close friends, Rebekah Stanley and Jessica Ciarrocchi.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Praise Assembly of God.  A celebration of Charles’ life will follow at 5 p.m. in the church with Pastor Kevin Crawford officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
