Charles "Charlie" Clifford Harris

Charles "Charlie" Clifford Harris, 73, of 126 Airpark Drive, Morganton died unexpectedly Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Grace Hospital. He was born on July 15, 1937 in Burke County and was the son of the late C. C. Harris and Ruth Moser Harris. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Harris Arney.Surviving are his sister, Joy Smith of Branford, Conn.; a nephew, Charles Arney of Olive Branch, Miss.; nieces, Mary A. Miller of Morganton, Suzanne Smith and Kathy Smith both of Branford; and a great-nephew, Robbie Smith also of Branford.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at ComServ Memorial Garden with Rev. Doug Goforth officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to ComServ Group Home, 126 Airpark Drive, Morganton, NC 28655.
