Charlotte Elizabeth Hollifield

Charlotte Elizabeth Hollifield, 77, a resident of the Camelot Manor Nursing Facility in Granite Falls, NC died Sunday, March 15, 2009 after a prolonged illness. She was born February 8, 1932 in Caldwell County, NC, and was a daughter of the late Ila W. Hollifield and Frances Crisp Hollifield. Charlotte worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at several hospitals in Charlotte, Hickory, and Morganton.She is survived by sons, Tony of Hickory and Patrick of Morganton; a sister, Patricia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Troy E. McGalliard; and sons, Robin and Randy.The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Camelot Manor and Caldwell Hospice for the excellent care given to Charlotte.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home.
