Christina Elizabeth Perkins

On Saturday, April 23, 2016, God gained an angel, Christina Elizabeth Ann Perkins, 18, of Morganton, NC.
She was born in Burke County on October 23, 1997 to Reba Christine Walker Perkins and the late Frank Lewis “Rock” Perkins. She was a member of Crosslink Church and attended Freedom High School. She had worked at Zaxby’s, as a manager, and at Cracker Barrel. She loved basketball and was on many basketball teams since the 1st grade. Christina touched a lot of lives during her life.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Annie Bradshaw and Charles Walker; paternal grandparents, Frank Perkins and Hattie Perkins.
Christina is survived by her mother, Reba Perkins; brother, James Alonzo Perkins and wife, Betty of Bakersfield, CA; niece, Nia Sellah Perkins; aunts, Carolyn Cook, Mildred Hawkins, Edna McGalliard, Addie Horton, Jeanell Hubbs and husband, Tony, Jerlene Adams, Cora Kincaid, Vivian Beach; uncle, Ivey Simpson; a host of cousins; a special cousin, Rhonda Beane; and her beloved dog, Prince and cats, Baby Boy, Kolby, Lewis, and Baby.
The family will receive friends from 11:30am until 1:00pm, Thursday April 28, 2016 at Crosslink Church. The service will begin at the church at 1:00pm with the Rev. Jonathan Reece and Rev. Gwendolyn Benjamin officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Crosslink Church, 910 Carbon City Road, Morganton, NC 28655.
