Christopher Douglas Wilson, 43, of Morganton, died Saturday, January 3, 2015. Chris was born in Burke County on December 6, 1971, the son of Douglas Wilson and Alberta Stone. Chris was a member of North Morganton United Methodist Church where he was a true servant and a child of God.
Chris is survived by his wife, Tina McGee Wilson; three children, Macy, Morgan and Quinlan, all of the home, his father, Douglas Wilson and step-mother Jeanne, his mother Alberta Stone and step-father Ernest; sister Sandra Hall and husband, Rick of Durham; and a step-brother, Casey Kinard and wife, Nicole, of Morganton.
A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at North Morganton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Burt Williams officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese NC, 28690 and North Morganton United Methodist Church, 990 Sanford Dr., Morganton NC, 28655.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
