Christopher Michael “Nino Hendrix” Robinson

Christopher Michael “Nino Hendrix” Robinson, 28, of Morganton passed away and received his wings on Friday, August 2, 2019.  Born in Richmond, VA on April 1, 1991, he was the son of Monty W. Johnson, Sr. and Michelle M. Robinson-Settlemyre.  Nino was a very kind and loving person who was a friend to everyone.  He worked at Catawba Brewing where he met many friends.  Nino was a huge soccer fan as well as a former soccer and basketball player.  He loved to eat and spend time with his friends at Lake James.

In addition to his parents, Nino is survived by his brothers, Monty W. Johnson, Jr., Isaiah Johnson, Lamont White, and Shakeal White; and aunts, Jovanka Robinson Morris and Nicole Robinson McCoy (Rodney).

Nino was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward T. “Red” Robinson, Irma Lynn Harbison Robinson, and Eartha Lee Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, August 9 in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Wesley Hendrix officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
