Christopher “Scott” Pearson, 42, of Morganton, NC passed away Monday, February 13, 2017. Born in Burke County, NC on September 3, 1974, he was the son of Rita Dianne Duckworth of Morganton and the late Lewis Ernest Pearson, Jr.
Scott is survived by two daughters, Olivia Renee Mahala and Brittney Nicole Pearson, both of Morganton; a granddaughter, Kailey Lynn Gilmore; a brother, Jeffery Todd Pearson and wife, Kelly, of Morganton; 2 sisters, Connie Lawson and husband, Keith, and Janice Maynerd and husband, Ronald, Jr., all of Morganton; and a number of nephews and nieces.
In addition to his father, Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis and Brunie Pearson and Stanley and Mildred Duckworth.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 pm, Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Conley Road Pentecostal Holiness Church (5208 Foreman Street, Morganton). The funeral will be held at the church at 3 pm with the Rev. Kenneth Milam officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
At other times the family will be residence of his mother, 119 Highland Street, Morganton.
