Christy "Robin" Baker

Christy "Robin" Baker, 57, of Morganton died Saturday, July 7, 2012. Born in Burke County, NC on May 8, 1955, she was the daughter of Bobby Vernon McGhinnis and Frances Pauline Orders McGhinnis of Morganton. Robin was a member of North Morganton Baptist Church where she was a wonderful pastor’s wife, music director, and children’s church leader.Robin is survived by her husband, Rev. Kenny Baker of the home; a daughter, Kacee Stroupe and her husband, Doug, of Morganton; a son, Adam Walton Baker and his wife, Samantha, of Morganton; grandchildren, Kerrigan Stroupe, Kennedy Stroupe, Peyton Baker, and Ambria Baker; brothers, Mark Vernon McGhinnis of Marion and Paul Timothy McGhinnis of Morganton; and a special cousin, Sandra Carswell of Morganton.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at North Morganton Baptist Church with Reverends Stony Curtis, Mark Conforti, and Kenny Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Baptist Church Cemetery.
