Clarence Eugene "Gene" Baker, Jr.

Clarence Eugene “Gene” Baker, Jr., 74, of Morganton died, Friday, December 30, 2016.  Gene was born June 4, 1942 to the late Clarence Eugene Baker, Sr. and Annie Limme Fite Baker.

Gene is survived by his children, Christie Baker and fiancé, Keith Watson, Scott Baker and wife, Kim and Jessica Baker; grandchildren Lance, Peyton and Elliott; sister, Anne Hooper; and ex-wives, Stephanie Baker and Lynn Khal.

The family held a private memorial service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
