Claude Benny Norman, 75, of Nebo, NC, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019. He was born on March 24, 1944 in Avery County to Jettie Crawford Norman and the late Benjamin Claude Norman. Claude was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was the owner of Paddy’s Creek Campground.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Ramsey Norman; daughters, Toni Reinhardt (Dennis), Terrie Peeler (Ralph), and Tracie Burns (Steve); siblings, Leon Norman, Louise Owens (Johnny), Kay Moody (Ernest) and Edwin Norman (Debbie); six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm, Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Nebo, NC. The service will begin at 2:00pm in the church with the Rev. Gerald Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
