Claudia Fairchild

Claudia Fairchild, 66, of Glen Alpine, NC went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Born in Peoria, IL on August 8, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Howard Keisling and Aldyth Gregory Keisling. In addition to her parents, Claudia was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heidi Suttles.Claudia is survived by her husband, Frank Fairchild of the home; a daughter, Michelle Puckett and her husband, Eddie, of Morganton; two step-children, Brian Fairchild and his wife, Kim, of Hawaii and Karen Suttles of Morganton; two grandchildren, Amber Mason and her husband, Brandon, and Josh Johnson, all of Morganton, two step-grandchildren, Bryce and Jennings Fairchild of Texas; and several cousins in Illinois.The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church with the Reverends Randy Clark and Paul Mace officiating. Entombment will follow in Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center where the body will remain until placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service. At other times the family will be at Chesterfield Adult Care. In lieu of flowers, Claudia requested that memorial contributions be made to Chesterfield Adult Care Home, 2630 Pax Hill Road, Morganton, NC 28655.
