Cliffton Hugh Connelly, 30, of Morganton passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018. Born in Burke County, NC on December 15, 1987, he was the son of Ronnie Hugh Connelly and Marsh Ann Mullis Connelly, both of Morganton. Cliffton enjoyed video games and watching the Atlanta Braves and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Cliffton is survived by his paternal grandparents, Hugh and Melda Connelly; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Guy Howard Mullis, Sr. and Odessa Query Mullis.
A celebration of Cliffton’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dana McKim officiating. The family will greet friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Outreach Program at First United Methodist Church, 200 N. King Street, Morganton.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
