Cloys Claude Hall, 82, of Morganton, NC died Friday, October 2, 2015. Born in Yancey County, NC on September 12, 1933, he was the son of the late Kirby Hall and Ada Grindstaff Hall. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Cloys was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge, and the American Legion. He loved to tinker and fix things.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 56 years, Edith Daves Hall of the home; children, Matthew Hall and his wife, Patricia, of Morganton, Melissa Dawn Hall of Irmo, SC, Luke Stevenson Hall and his wife, Sherry, of Granite Falls, NC, and John Hall and his wife, Lauri, of Palacios, TX; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Geneva Persinger of Morganton.
In addition to his parents, Cloys was preceded in death by a son, Mark Hall; and a brother, Herman Hall.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2015 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.
