Clyde Hence Layfayette Patton

Clyde Hence Layfayette Patton, Sr. 52, died Saturday, April 04, 2009, at Grace Hospital. He was born on May 3, 1956 in Burke County to the late Don Chester Patton and Louise Ingle Patton.Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Dillingham Patton of the home; a son, Jason Ray Patton, of the home; step-daughters, Betty Anthony, Mary Moses, and Norma Barker, all of Morganton; brothers, Robert Patton of Conover and George Patton, Sr. of Morganton; sisters, Sue Bumgarner and Becky Stamey both of Morganton; and ten grandchildren.The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Reverends George Patton, Jr. and Randy Queen officiating. Burial will follow in the Patton Family Cemetery on Pollard-Patton Rd. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Sossoman Funeral Home with the body will remain until placed in the church thirty minutes before the funeral.
