Clyde Mull, 84, of Morganton, NC passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021. He was born on July 24, 1936 to the late David Zero Mull and Sarah Byrd Mull.
He was a member of Mount Home Baptist Church. Clyde was a truck driver for over 34 years for Pilot Freight Carriers. But his heart and expertise were always seen in his farming and his gardening. Generosity was his trademark, as he gave away much of what he raised. He was a loving and devoted husband and a caregiver to all his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Estelle Duckworth, Bertha Mae Shouppe, Azelea Mull, Eloise Mitchell, Lura Webb, and Betty Jean Shields; brothers, David Zero Mull, Jr. and Bristol Mull.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shelba “Jean” Condrey Mull; children, Denise Mull Williams (Norman), David Clyde Mull (Tammy), Richard Brian Mull (Crystal), and John William Mull (Carole); 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva Duckworth Reinhardt.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Mount Home Baptist Church. The funeral will begin at 2:00pm in the church with Rev. David Orders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Home Baptist Church.
Clyde lived his deep faith in God quietly and exemplified that by how he cared for and served his family and friends.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
