Coleen Abee Byers, 85, of Connelly Springs, NC died Saturday, April 4, 2015. Born in Burke County, NC on December 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late G. W. Abee and Flossie Poteet Abee. She was raised in the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Byers is survived by her daughter, Veronica L. Byers of Morganton; sisters-in-law, Frankee Icard Abee and her late husband, Cecil Abee, and Pat Shuping Abee and her late husband, Joe Abee; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Coleen was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Leo Byers; brothers, William Cecil Abee and Joe Grady Abee; and a sister, Peggy Abee Lowman.
The cryptside service will be held at 4:30 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with Mr. Winfield Abee officiating. The family will receive friends at the mausoleum from 4:00 until 4:30 p.m. prior to the service.
