Colleen C. Giunta Brewer

Colleen C. Giunta Brewer, 87, of Morganton, NC, formerly of Steger, IL, went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2017.  Born in Chicago Heights, IL on August 21, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Catherine Foushi Giunta and Luke Giunta.

Colleen graduated from Bloom High School in 1948.  She then worked for many years as a bookkeeper for City Beverage Company and Donovan Insurance, both located in Chicago Heights.

In addition to her parents, Colleen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Brewer, and sisters, Lucy Yacono and Anne Branka.

Mrs. Brewer is survived by her step-daughter, Sandra Duka (Kevin) of Downers Grove, IL; sister, Lena Shambo (Albert); nieces, Catherine Yacono and Dawn Miller; and a nephew, Terre Shambo (Linda).

The cryptside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2017 at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with Father Kenneth Whittington officiating.
