Colleen Lail Moore

Colleen Lail Moore, 91, of Drexel, NC died Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Burke Palliative Care Center following a period of declining health. Born in Catawba County, NC on August 10, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Carl Lail and Sally Zimmerman Lail. Colleen was a member of Drexel First Baptist Church. A loving mother, she enjoyed working in her garden, flowers, being with children, and worshipping her God.Colleen is survived by her sons, Robert Carl Moore and wife, Sara, of Charlotte, NC and a nephew, Danny Coffey of Michigan.In addition to her parents, Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Paul Moore; and two sisters, Hazel Herman and Nell Coffey.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2011 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Rev. Tito Madrazo officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
