Conley Curtis Mull, Jr.

Conley Curtis Mull, Jr. 83, of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 2, 2017. He was born July 26, 1934 in Burke County, NC and was the son of the late Conley Joshua Mull and Rosalee “Dolly” Crump Mull. Conley served his country proudly in the United States Army. He loved to garden and to fish. Conley was a fun-loving gentleman who loved to make others laugh. But he especially liked to tinker with and fix anything that needed fixing. He was a charter member of North Cross Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Cherolyn Whisenant and brother-in-law, Calvin Whisenant.
He is survived by wife, Audrey Saunders Mull; son, Curtis Bryan Mull; sister, Carolyn Ruth Mull; niece, Mrs. Karen Wilson and husband, Gene and Ms. Gina Pritchard; and numerous extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 6, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home and crematory Center. A cryptside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Charlie Crump officiating. Military honors will be provided by North Carolina National Guard. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to North Cross Church, 142 WA Harris Rd., Morganton, NC 28655 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
