Corbin E. Simmons

Corbin E. Simmons of Connelly Springs died Monday, July 29, 2019.  Born in Sampson County, NC on October 4, 1943, he was the son of the late Junius Simmons and Eunice Nance Simmons.  Corbin loved to hunt, fish, golf, and garden.  Mr. Simmons enjoyed working, having worked at SAFT for 19.5 years and Sara Lee for 10 years.

Corbin is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Gail Chapman Simmons of the home; children, James Corbin Simmons (Jennifer), Jerry Simmons (Darlene), Tina Simmons, and Tonya Simmons; grandchildren, Jake, Chase, Mackenzie, Austin, Dache, Riley, and Gavin; a great-grandson, Jase; siblings, Judy Vance, Mary Fann, Faye Ezzell, Kay Austin, James Simmons, and Rosie Bryant; and a number of nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, Corbin was preceded in death by a grandchild, Pres Simmons; brothers, Donald and Ray Simmons; and sister, Alma Fields.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home.
