Crystal Yancy Hallyburton

Crystal Yancy Hallyburton, 56, of Morganton, NC died Thursday, February 11, 2016. Born in Burke County, NC on December 3, 1959, she was the daughter of Benny Yancy of Morganton and Betty Robbins Holman of Lenoir, NC. Crystal was a member of Cross Memorial Baptist Church. She was a very knowledgeable, loving full time mother and a caring person that would help any person or animal she could.
Mrs. Hallyburton is survived by her daughter, Erica Marie Hallyburton of the home; a step-daughter, Jessica Lyons and her husband, Mark, of Garner, NC; step-grandsons, Luke Lyons and Seth Lyons; a sister, Scarlett Dula and her husband, Todd, of Granite Falls, NC; a brother, Wilber Yancy of Lenoir; a number of nieces and nephews; a mother-in-law, Joyce Carswell of Morganton; and aunt, Wanda Peyronel of Connelly Springs, NC.
Crystal was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Scott Hallyburton; and a sister, Cindy Yancy.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Jeff Beach officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
