Cynthia Annette Calloway Lockman

Cynthia Annette Calloway Lockman, 57, of Newton passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice.  Born on August 4, 1960 in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Bob Calloway and Jacquline Deloris Mayo Calloway.  Cynthia had a heart of gold and she never met a stranger.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Darrell Lockman of Hickory; children, Christopher Lockman and Casey Blackwell both of Newton; granddaughters, Juliana Blackwell and Paris White; siblings, David Calloway of Hildebran, Susan Gladden of Morganton, and Gregory Calloway of Newton.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Michael Calloway.

The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home.
