Cynthia Kaye McGlamery Carswell

Cynthia Kaye McGlamery Carswell, 68, of Morganton, NC passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017. She was born November 15, 1948 in Davidson County, NC and was the daughter of the late Charles J. McGlamery and Doris Louise Mendenhall McGlamery. Cynthia was a graduate of North Davidson High School. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and an avid crocheter. She was a member of Linville United Methodist Church.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, Gary Weldon Carswell; children, Christopher Carswell and wife Paula of Glen Alpine, Johnnette C. Dale and husband, Ashlee of Morganton and Andrew Charles Carswell and wife, Jennifer of Nebo; grandchildren, Ryan Duncan, Noah Duncan, Alexis Brooke Carswell, Ethen Dale, Ava Dale, Easton Sigmon, and Charleigh Carswell; sisters, Patricia M. Clark and husband, Darryl of Winston Salem, NC and Sandra McGlamery-Smith and husband, Billy of Belews Creek, NC; brother, Charles “Dudley” McGlamery and wife, Patty of Winston-Salem, NC; numerous nieces, nephews and very special friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Linville United Methodist Church with Reverends Kathy McAbee and Neal Brantley, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
