D. William “Bill” Brown, 89, of Morganton, NC passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021. Born in Hudson, MI on June 8, 1932, he was the son of the late Donald and Mari Brown. Bill was a graduate of Michigan State University. He served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955 on the USS Tarawa. Bill was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Carol Brown; children, LuAnn McEwan (Dennis), Donald Brown (Kim), and Laura Prebay (Chris); step-son, Jacob Cox (Veronica); and seven grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Amorem Hospice for their wonderful care of Bill.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
