Danny Cook

Danny Cook, 74, of Morganton, NC passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. He was born on November 13, 1947 to the late Samuel Cook and Macie Shuping Cook. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar and being on the lake. Danny loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Setzer; brother, Burlin Long.

Danny is survived by his daughters, Sandy Denton (Mark) and Tonya Jaynes (David); his long-time companion, Edith Allen of the home; grandsons, Tyler Nye of the home and Jordan; granddaughters, Jessica and Sarah Denton, Deanna Beck, Jodi Monroy, Paige Brown, Kama Greene, and Cheyenne Suddreth; extended family, Cynthia Suddreth, Debra Branch, and Kim Beck; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other extended family.

The family will have a graveside service at 2pm, Tuesday, February 15, 2022 Denton’s Chapel UMC with the Pastor Phillip Hefner officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
