Danny Lee Dover

Danny Lee Dover, 51, of Morganton went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 3, 2020.  Born in Rutherford County, NC on October 25, 1968, he was the son of the late Bruce Dover and Tilda Street Dover.  Danny was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.  He was a simple man who loved the Lord, his family, his friends, and his church.

Danny is survived by his wife, Sandra Blankenship Dover of the home; children, Cathleen and Nickolas Dover; step-children, Seth and Ethan Heffinger; grandchildren, Ayden and Alayna Self; brother, Donald Dover; sister, Wanda Mansfield; special family members, Todd and Kelly Sizemore, and their children, Hunter and Jackson; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Dover.

The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Emory officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service.
