Danny Ray Norville, 53 of Sherrills Ford, NC went home to be with the Lord after a brief battle with cancer on Thursday, July 7, 2016. Born in Gaston County, NC on May 4, 1963, he was the son of the late Benjamin Norville and Beulah Moses Norville. Danny was a devoted father and brother who was a very hard worker and loved his family dearly. He loved listening to 80’s music and was fun loving and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Danny is survived by a son, James Tyler Norville and wife, Kayla of Marion, NC; step-son, Dalton Newell of Sherrills Ford, NC; sisters, Jackie Norville and fiancé, Joe Watts and Carmen Smith and husband, Todd; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Nowlings Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Darvy Hensley officiating. The burial will follow at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Nowlings Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, 5061 US 64 South, Morganton, NC 28655.
